as a person who has never smoked pot, and rarely drinks, it seems to me that marijuana is, if anything less harmful than alcohol. as to the addiction, from what i know, drinking and pot have the same addictive effect, that is needing to use it to make yourself feel better; i know many more people that should go to AA than pot heads. as for the danger, heavy drinkers can severely damage the liver, and there is a certain point when you can drink to your death, marijuana i believe does not. as for mental effects i think that the pot heads were a few bricks short before they started, and could be a reason for their starting, and it gives marijuana a bad reputation in my opinion. I see no reason why marijuana should be any less legal than alcohol
